Power Complex Training

I just posted my own little story of triumph with what I feel were great performances in both the deadlift and overhead press. There is no doubt in my mind that anyone can achieve similar benefits. Here is the best part, you can get really strong and fit without many of the common problems that come with heavy lifting.

Yep, the “hardcore” guy doesn’t talk about the negative part of lifting heavy all the time. How about the stiff back, aches and pains, and mental fatigue this takes? Hey, don’t get me wrong, I like lifting heavy, but as I get older I also like lifting for health as well. If I can get the same benefit by creating more diverse training programs without all the pains then why not?

That is why I began using complexes like the one in today’s video. We can still take great principles from any standard strength training program and create a whole new outlook on them. Complexes happen to be one of those methods!

A complex can be several things, but in this case we are looking at developing one motor quality with different but same movements. Each one of these movements develop power in the lower body and should be done in succession.

I even had Jessica help me out with this video, 5 disk herniations and she can do training like this! It is amazing what this type of training can accomplish for both performance and health training!

    Great Article!

If I could write like this I would be well chuffed ;-)

The more I read articles of such quality as this (which is rare), the more I think there might be a future for the Web. Keep it up, as it were.
