I had no idea! Just like the Ultimate Sandbag, I really didn’t think the Ultimate Core Strap was going to excite people like it has. I guess it makes sense though, when you create ideas to solve your problems, chances are they solve a lot of peoples’!

The Ultimate Core Strap was made to address my interest to expand the options with the Ultimate Sandbag. There had to be a way to hit different angles and movement patterns even more than the Ultimate Sandbag already does.
I knew we could also find a way to hook the Ultimate Sandbag to bands and cable systems to take advantage of the benefits of these two implements. So, really, why am I using the Ultimate Core Strap? There are people asking what are the benefits.
Connected to the TRX:
- Allows the coach to develop strength in unique angles of motion. The lever arm created during certain pressing motions places a great deal of stress through the trunk creating a more dynamic opportunity to work on core stabilization as well as upper body strength.
- The greater lever arm created by the Ultimate Sandbag connected to the TRX creates a greater force during exercises such as reverse lunges. This means we can challenge lateral stability and strength in a constantly moving center of gravity.
- Unique metabolic exercises that hit new positions and can be perfectly match with favorite standard lifts.
- Places the lifter in the perfect position for rotational movements. Such movements make the full contact twist irrelevant.
Attached to Cable System:
- Allows for progressive resistance in lifts such as goodmorning, presses, throw downs, twists.
- Provides a lateral force for lifts such as bear hug lateral shuffles.
- Makes any type of idea of throwing sandbags irrelevant.
- Hit new angles of pressing, rowing, and core based movements.
Attached to a Band:
- Perfect for explosive drills, gives more resistance at the top of pulling drills than the kb swing.
- Can be a corrective drill to help those with problems squatting have a counterbalance to learn perfect squat form.
- Hits the top end of the strength curve in exercises such as rows.
- A great way to build speed and power in movements such as squat, lunges, rows, and pulls.
