Swing, Snatch, Clean, Swing?

What the heck am I talking about swing, snatch, clean, swing? It is the ultra boring unsophisticated workouts that many people have gotten themselves into. That’s right people are getting stuck performing the same movement over and over again. Yes, this will do a lot for you in that movement pattern, but that is also why when we run our workshops we find people that have been training for some time literally falling on themselves when you make them train in multiple ranges of motion.

World renown strength training researcher, Istvan Balyi, found one of the primary keys to Olympic success was to get involved as many different movements as young as possible. This would build one’s “Encyclopedia of Movement.” What is that? It means that your nervous system will have a better foundation to pick up other physical skills faster because you nervous system has been trained in coordination and spatial awareness.

This was the main inspiration for our program. Trying to create movements that are sophisticating our basic patterns. The Ultimate Sandbag allows us to load the body in patterns and positions that were very hard to develop previously. This results in strengthening our nervous system and ability to catch on other exercises much faster. In the end this means building better POWER, STRENGTH, and STABILITY. The best part is not just in the simple patterns of motion, but in complex athletic patterns as well.

Check out the new six exercises that fit the bill!

“People falling on themselves when you make them train in multiple planes of motion.” Amen. That sums up about 95% of the programs out there.

Thanks Steve, I am not a crazy circus tricks guy, but I have come to appreciate movements that do focus on different patterns.
